Released specifically for Comic-Con 2009, our 3rd edition Battlestar Galactica toaster is kick-a&&, if we say so ourselves. We’re going to go right into the specifics:
> Cylon’s head lights up with an LED light as your bread waits for toasting perfection. Just check out the video.
> Production run limited to only 2,000. When they sell out, and they will, they all be gone. (We suppose you could spend hundreds of dollars on eBay, if that is your preference).
> Each toaster is individually numbered (1 of 2000, 2 of 2000, etc) on the top of the toaster. How frakkin’ cool is that?!? (Check it the pic here)
> Your toast pops out with two different looks - one piece says “Frak Off”, the other has the Cylon’s head.
The NBCU Comic-Con store launches TOMORROW, 7/7/09! The toaster will be available for preorder when the store goes live. Check back at nbcstore.com and stay updated on all of your favorite Syfy and Comic-Con items by following us at twitter.com/nbcstore.

Ever wonder why that geek you keep pummeling at lunch time repeatedly yelps the word ‘Frak’? Turns out, he’s one of the many friendless Battlestar Galacticafans that have adopted the term into their own vocabulary. This article at CNN.com delves deeper into this pop culture hit, but if your spending your lunch break slapping around some guy from IT just because he wears a shirt that says ‘Kenobi, Skywalker ‘08′, then chances are you’re not a big current events buff, so I’ll explain… Frak has become the new way to say the things you’ve always wanted to say without pesky ’society’ getting in your way. Taking the place of the other 4-letter-word that starts with ‘F’ and ends with ‘K’, Frak is a harmless substitute when letting out your frustrations. (Shut the Frak up! …Frak Off! …Go Frak Yourself!) And though Battelstar Galactica is to thank for the new expression, with shows such as Scrubs, The Office and Gossip Girl getting in on the ‘Frak’ action, maybe it’s not just for the lame anymore. So the next time you think about taking a swing at that poor defenseless sap , remember, …he’s been cursing you out this whole time. Frak him up!
